'Destined to die?'
I was woke up by several long phone calls from M only to know that she rescued a bird with deformed legs. The vet says that it's unlikely to live for long and will not be able to survive in the wild...and M saw 2 crow attacking and trying to eat it.
Then the next call, 'I'm reaching your house in 5 minutes and you'll decide what to do with the bird, put down or how?' I was like what the fuck lor...why I decide? Anyway, I started calling people in my animal welfare list and manage to find a foster home for it.
Finally, at night, I took it to the foster's house and the unfortunate happened haix...it seems like the bird was too stress or whatever, just something went wrong, it started trembling and gasping for air, then left with no more strength, can't even support its head, I stroke its head softly and knew it was going : ( It passed on 10 minutes after settling down in the foster's home...I was shocked when I heard it, though I expected it. Haix...
I hate this kind of feeling, I'm sure all animal welfare people does. When I try my best to help a animal I come across, I hope it has a home, or at least gets help, feels better, suffer lesser. The scene where the poor fellow was gasping for air keeps coming back to me haix...The bird left horribly and looks like it was suffering haix.. sob...
