Witness a pigeon killed – sad.
Huifen, huayling and me was on our way back home as usual…then hor…I heard BANG! I witnessed a pigeon hit by a truck damn hard and fell onto the middle of a busy road.
I tried to look for chances whereby I could dash forward and picked it up when cars are not coming in the way. The traffic weren’t that busy but not like no car at all either.
Then within seconds…a vehicle drove over it, heng ar! It managed to siam the tyres! Then another one! …and blood splashed out. Haix…this scene affected our mood a lot. At that instance, I thought, was it my fault? If I did not hesitate, it could have been brought to the roadside at the very least.
I knew, from the first hit from the truck, it would not have made it. But I do believe that it would be better than going over and over again by that many wheels. On the positive side, it was a quick death, not a slow painful one.
So the question that no one will have an answer to is – Whose fault is it? The Driver? The Pigeon? Or me, who hesitate?
